I admire Peter McKinnon as a photographer - as I was watching one of his YouTube videos a few years ago, he challenged his audience to photograph objects that tend to be unlikely subjects. This prompt stretched me creatively. Who knew that photographing something as simple as a pair of keys could turn into something beautiful? I’ve noticed that over the years I love the contrast of shadows. Sometimes they dance so elegantly on a wall or cast a neat pattern. Being creative with light or photographing the unlikely brings me joy - even if it’s just for me!
